We were looking for a long time for the right flavor for Chunyou Gin, until one night over a bottle of Guizhou Baijiu we tasted the spice that perfectly exemplifies what Chunyou is to us. This pepper was, Bright, Citrusy, Refreshing and reminded us of Spring. When coming across this spice we knew it was the perfect flavor for a Chunyou Gin! The spice itself doesn’t have an English name, so we’ve called it things like Mountain Pepper and Forest Pepper but I think the proper name for this spice is Chunyou Pepper. The bright lemongrass vibe of this Chunyou pepper is refreshing, and the perfect addition when dancing to your favorite song or reminiscing on the good times of Chunyou.
